Featherweight Fanatics
Do you have a Featherweight machine?
Well this is the group for you.
We will be learning how to maintain and repair our Featherweights. We will also learn how to use special feet that came with Featherweights. We plan to make sewing projects with our adorable Featherweights too. This Group meets the 3rd Monday of each month from 10am-noon.
Loose Threads
This group focuses on quilting. They meet the 2nd Monday of each month from 9-11a.m. in the ballroom. You are welcome to attend this group, if interested in all types of quilting.
Quilters for Charity
This group makes quilts to distribute to various charity organizations in the Las Vegas and Henderson area.
Stitching Divas
This group meets the 1st Monday of the month to focus on embroidery. They share and discuss information on various topics such as stabilizers, thread, and the latest resources and techniques for machine embroidery. Members have their own machines.
Workshops
Dolly Mommas
This is a specialized workshop that meets three times a month on Monday afternoon. The members are responsible for designing and making doll clothes that are sold by the Club.
Longarm Quilting
Mentors are available to longarm quilts for club members. Contact the Longarm Managers (use Contact Us) schedule an appointment for longarming. Complete procedures are available on the Website in the Documents section.
Workshop and Cut up Gals
This group consists of intermediate and advanced sewers who commit their time and talent to creating products such as Mah Jong mats, towel aprons, luggage tags, teddy bears, placemats and many other quality items for sale in the Sewing Room and at SCA craft fairs. Proceeds fund Club activities. Each group meets twice monthly.
