Our Basic Sewing class was a huge success today. Katrina showed the members how to make the mesh bags. Everyone finished and loved their projects. Students included Teri and Nina; Bobbie, Marie, Joanne, and Linda; and Caron, Crystal, Joan, Georgeann and Carol. A shout out to Jean and Wendy for being mentors to the group.

Also a big thank you to Melissa for continuing with organizing our Basic Sewing Classes.  It is much appreciated!

Quilters for Charity made 15 receiving blankets at our work party. Giving back from our abundance! Thanks so much, ladies!

Thank you Wendy for another excellent class. Every piece was beautiful. It was such a fun day. For those that missed this class, Wendy will have a have another class. Watch for the make up class date.

Another successful Mesh Bag Class. Diane Deep, Lynn Lincoln, Linda Haddan & Linda Garrison all completed their bags during class. Woo hoo!

Thank you Jean Abraham for helping me with the class today. We are up to 50 mesh bags so far. 

Thanks to Jane McEvoy for instructing Featherweight & Friends members on how to make a Fabric Trivet with a tile insert.  We had a great time and as you can see in the pictures, it was very successful. We are happy to see all the finished projects.

Thanks you Diane Deep for an excellent "Sew Crafty Wednesday".  The ladies made a simple project using 4-5” squares. As you can see Jane, Lorene, Liz, Monica, Yvonne, Laura, Jo, and Carol used some beautiful fabrics for their projects-Jane even had time to create an adorable hat during our “craft” session.

Thank you Melissa for teaching another successful Basic Sewing class. She had five new sewers. Showing off their fabric baskets are Rosie, Terri, Robyn, Judi, Joan, Caron, Mary, and Carol. We also welcomed back Chandra, who spent the time getting reacquainted with the Pfaff. A big shout out to Donna P. and Jane M. for helping.

Sue Grater and Cindy Brown had a guest speaker at the Stitchin Divas meeting today.

Sandy Lenenberg was kind enough to show the group how to "Bling" our embroidery projects and what tools she uses.

15 people turned their embroidery blocks and 5 winners were drawn. Great meeting! Thank you all those that participated today.

Next month... Marianne Corr will demonstrate how to download embroidery designs from the internet and get them to your USB Drive. Enroll now, it should be very informative.
