SKILL LEVEL: All Skill Levels
Each month we will teach a few embroidery stitches. You can enter them into your Stitch Book, and then use them in the project below, or any project of your choice.
Starting in January, we will be offering a pattern each month, using these stitches by Sarah Thomas of Sariditty. These designs can be printed on a fusible Solvy and then washed away after you have completed your stitching. You can then frame your completed project in an 8” embroidery hoop. Due to copyright restrictions, you will need to purchase the pattern each month. They will range in price from $3 to $5. The Club will provide the Solvy, at least for the first project.
RECOMMENDED SUPPLY LIST:
• Embroidery threads and colors of your choice
• Embroidery needles-recommend 24 Chenille Or a needle with an eye that will handle your thread and 5 Milliners (Sue Spargo needles are available through her website or Amazon)
• Fabric for your sampler-might be felt, linen, wool, cotton.
• Hoop (optional)
• Thread snips
• Needle Threader
ADDITIONAL NOTES: Bring your own projects to work on. This is not a formal teaching class. We do share ideas and help each other on your own project.
Whether you enjoy English Paper Piecing (hexies), wool applique, hand applique, or embroidery, this is the group for you. We will sit and sew and share our projects and expertise. Feel free to join us with any hand sewing you have-binding, hemming, you name it.
